How to glue felt to wood: Building your DIY felt board

We meant it when we said making a DIY felt board was easy. In fact, it only takes a few minutes to put together! Once you’ve gathered everything you need, here’s how to stick felt to wood:

  1. Prepare your workspace, make sure your space is well-ventilated and collect your materials for gluing felt to wood.
  2. Using a flat surface, place the felt onto the piece of wood and ensure the surface is smooth and free of air bubbles.
  3. Flip the board over to expose the back of the piece of particle board. Dampen the surface of the board with a cloth.
  4. Activate the Loctite Super Glue Creative Pen by turning clockwise until it clicks, then unscrewing the cap anti-clockwise. Press lightly to release drops of super glue onto the edges of the back board, pressing down the felt as you go.
  5. Let the glue dry while you create the decorations and accent elements.
  6. Once the adhesive has dried, you’re ready to add decorations to your DIY felt board.
